Meet Russell
PhD, Pastoral Counselor
Dr. Russell Mauldin earned his Master's from Lee University in 2018 and his PhD from Colorado Theological Seminary in 2025. He is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and certified Life Coach who blends biblical principles with clinical techniques to support individuals, couples, and families. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling and specializes in marriage and premarital counseling, spiritual struggles, religious trauma, and pornography-related issues. With decades of experience as a pastor, church leader, and Grammy-nominated Christian music composer, Russell offers a deep, compassionate understanding to those in both faith-based and creative communities.
At home, Russell and his wife, Janice, cherish their close-knit family, including their three grown children and five young grandchildren, all living in the Nashville area.
Whether through counseling, ministry, or music, Russell is committed to serving others with wisdom, faith, and compassion.
Women
Russell approaches women’s counseling with compassion and sensitivity, recognizing the unique emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges women face—including the impact of religious trauma. By integrating biblical truth with clinical techniques, he helps women heal from past wounds, rebuild trust in their faith journey, and embrace their identity with clarity and confidence.
Men
Russell offers a compassionate, judgment-free space for men to address emotional struggles, relationship challenges, pornography addiction, and the often-unspoken wounds of religious trauma. Through a combination of biblical wisdom and clinical insight, he helps men confront shame, rediscover their faith, and grow in emotional, relational, and spiritual strength.
Couples
Russell brings both personal and pastoral wisdom to marriage and premarital counseling, helping couples build strong foundations rooted in faith, trust, and communication.
