Counseling for Christians
Pain can Shake the Roots of what Thought you Knew
Deep pain can shake even the strongest roots of faith. You may know and believe that God is good, yet still find yourself wondering where He is in the middle of your hurt. Grief, fear, anger, and confusion can make what once felt certain suddenly feel difficult to hold onto. You may question whether God sees you, whether your faith is strong enough, or whether something about you needs to be fixed before you can experience healing. In these seasons, prayer may feel harder, hope may feel farther away, and your connection to God may feel different than it once did. Wrestling with these questions does not mean your faith has disappeared. Sometimes, healing begins by creating space to honestly name the pain, explore the questions, and slowly rediscover what it means to feel rooted in faith, hope, and connection.
Faith can be Part of your Healing
Christian counseling offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can bring your whole story, including your pain, questions, doubts, relationships, and faith. Together, we can explore what you’re experiencing, begin tending to the places that feel wounded or weary, and help you build stronger roots for healing, hope, and meaningful growth.

Our Approach
Christian counseling at Three Trees begins with getting to know you, your story, what you’re carrying, what feels difficult right now, and the role faith plays in your life. We believe you are the expert on your own experience, and our role is to come alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. There is room here for your faith as well as your questions, doubts, hurt, and uncertainty.
Together, we’ll identify what you hope to gain from counseling and create an individualized approach that honors your needs, values, and comfort level. Your therapist may integrate evidence-based therapeutic practices with Christian faith and spiritual reflection in ways that feel authentic and meaningful to you. There is no expectation that your healing follow a particular timeline or look a certain way.
As counseling continues, we’ll help you better understand the patterns, emotions, relationships, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools to support meaningful change. The goal isn’t simply to feel better, it’s to help you develop stronger roots, reconnect with what matters most, and continue growing toward greater healing, hope, and wholeness.
