Three Trees Newsletter - January 2026
Happy New Year!
In 2025 I took a big leap, moving from Shara Smile Counseling as a solo practitioner into Three Trees Counseling as a group practice. It stretched me in ways I never expected, and the journey is far from over. A new name, new branding, a new office space, and countless behind the scenes decisions later, I’m reminded daily that growth is rarely comfortable but it’s always meaningful.
I couldn’t have done any of this without the unwavering support of my team, my community, and my family. There have already been bumps in the road, and I know there will be more moments of doubt ahead. But having a group of cheerleaders around me, people who believe in the vision even when it feels heavy, has made all the difference.
This experience has reinforced something I see every day in my work: mental health thrives in connection. Having a squad. Picking your people. Building community. None of us are meant to do hard things alone.
As we begin 2026, I’m incredibly excited about what the future holds. And if you’re ready to step out, grow, or need support along the way, Three Trees Counseling is here to walk with you on your journey toward your goals.
With warmth and hope,
Shara Carter

Marcella Vivrette Smith Park Hiking Trails
I’ve come to appreciate hiking as a way to clear my mind and gently rejuvenate my body and spirit. Smith Park has become one of those places that makes this possible, with more than six miles of rugged trails that invite reflection and quiet movement. The trails are color coded, making it easy to choose a path that fits the day’s energy. I often bring my camera along, as the wildlife and scenery offer small moments of beauty that feel grounding and restorative. Each hike becomes a reminder of the healing power of slowing down and reconnecting with nature.
