Finding the Good Stuff

Has anyone else felt like this summer has flown by? If you're anything like us, you may feel like you need a vacation from your vacation! Between family trips, getting the kids ready for school, balancing work, and trying to squeeze every last drop out of summer, life has probably felt full—maybe even a little overwhelming.

But here's something we've been reminding ourselves lately: even in the busiest seasons, and even in the difficult ones, there is often something good taking shape beneath the surface. Sometimes it's growth. Sometimes it's resilience. Sometimes it's simply learning what matters most.

Looking back on this summer, we've realized that although it's been busy, it's also been filled with good stuff—the kind that builds families, strengthens relationships, and moves us toward becoming healthier versions of ourselves.

Behind the Scenes at Three Trees

While our clinicians have been enjoying some well-deserved time with their families and finding opportunities to rest and recharge, we've also been working hard behind the scenes to continue building a counseling practice that truly stands out.

We're currently interviewing for the next exceptional addition to our clinical team!

We're seeking a seasoned, licensed clinician with supervision training and experience who is passionate about serving Men, Teen boys, Couples. Bonus points if they have advanced training or certifications in areas such as: CSAT, IITAP, EMDR, Brainspotting, Gottman Method, Other trauma-informed specialty certifications. If this sounds like someone you know, we'd love to connect!

Women's Betrayal Trauma Group Returns August 11

Our first Women's Betrayal Trauma Group exceeded our expectations. Watching women find hope, healing, and community together has been incredibly rewarding.

We're excited to announce that our next 8-week Women's Betrayal Trauma Group begins August 11.

Women's Betrayal Trauma

Because of the success of our first group, we're also launching a monthly Aftercare Group for graduates of our betrayal trauma program. Healing doesn't stop after eight weeks, and we want to continue providing a safe community where women can receive encouragement, accountability, and ongoing support.

Coming Soon: Women's ADHD Online Book Club

We're also exploring something new! We're hoping to launch an online Women's ADHD Book Club, designed specifically for women juggling careers, family responsibilities, and the unique challenges that often accompany ADHD.

Meeting online will provide flexibility while creating a supportive community where women can learn, connect, and encourage one another. Stay tuned for more details!

Celebrating Amanda Rector!

We're thrilled to celebrate Amanda Rector as she completes her practicum and officially enters the internship phase of her graduate program! Amanda has been a wonderful addition to our team, and we're excited to watch her continue growing into the counselor she is becoming. Congratulations, Amanda!

Welcome, Abigail Johnson!

Please join us in welcoming Abigail Johnson, our newest counseling intern who will be joining us in September!

Abigail brings extensive experience in child development and parent education and has a genuine passion for helping parents navigate challenging seasons with children of all ages.

We're excited to see the impact she'll have with the families we serve and hope to launch a parenting-focused group with her in the near future. Stay tuned as we continue developing new programs!

A Reminder

As summer begins to wind down and the school year approaches, don't forget to make space for what matters most. Take the trip. Watch the sunset. Laugh with your kids. Call a friend. Rest when you need to. The older we get, the more quickly the seasons seem to pass. Hold tightly to the moments that matter, the ordinary ones often become the memories we treasure most. Even when life feels busy... even when it feels messy... there is so much good stuff. As always, thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you in your journey.

And remember, we’re here to help you...Just Keep Growing.

Warmly,

Three Trees Counseling Team

We often spend so much time focusing on what's next that we miss how much we've already overcome. This month's recommendation is a reminder to pause, reflect, and celebrate your progress. Sometimes the "good stuff" isn't found in perfect circumstances—it's found in recognizing the growth that's already happened along the way.

Rest, Rejuvenate, and  Relate

It’s my hope to help you connect with your family, your body, your community!

People walking outdoors at an event, many wearing blue shirts, some holding signs on a sunny day.

Take a journal and a good book to Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary or another favorite park. Leave your headphones and phone in the car.

Spend an hour walking, reading, or simply noticing what you normally rush past.

For August:

  • "Collect the Good Stuff."
  • Before Labor Day, intentionally create one meaningful memory.
  • It doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate.
  • Watch a sunset.
  • Visit a local farmers market.
  • Go for a walk without your phone.
  • Write a thank-you note.
  • Laugh.Play.

Because years from now, these ordinary moments may become the ones you remember most.
