Three Trees Newsletter - April 2026
Greetings as we welcome the month of April!
As spring begins to bloom and the days grow a little brighter, April invites us to focus on something equally important, Counseling Awareness Month. This is a time to highlight the value of mental health support, reduce stigma, and recognize the impact that counseling can have on individuals, families, and communities.
Let’s Talk About Counseling...
Counseling is a collaborative process where individuals are given a safe, supportive space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. People seek counseling for many reasons, including life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, or simply a desire for personal growth.
What many people don’t realize is that you do not have to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Therapy can be proactive, preventative, and empowering.
Through counseling, individuals may experience:
• Greater self awareness
• Improved coping skills
• Healthier relationships
• Emotional regulation
• Increased confidence and self esteem
• Clarity in decision making
• Healing from past experiences
• A stronger sense of identity and purpose
Seeking counseling is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of courage and commitment to your well being.
For many, one of the biggest barriers is stigma, the belief that they should handle things on their own or that asking for help means something is wrong. In reality, counseling is a tool for support, growth, and resilience. Everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
Counseling is not about having all the answers. It is about having a place to explore the questions.
If April brings this topic close to home for you, consider it an invitation. Whether you are navigating something difficult or simply wanting to better understand yourself, support is available and you do not have to do it alone.
Awareness is the first step. Connection is the next.
Until next time...Remember, we’re here to help you JUST KEEP GROWING.

Three Trees Update!
Counseling for Ministry Leaders
Ministry leaders pour out daily, but where do you go to be poured into?
At Three Trees Counseling, we understand the unique weight that comes with leading, shepherding, and holding space for others. The expectations, the emotional load, the spiritual responsibility, it can be a lot to carry alone.
Dr. Russell Mauldin offers a safe, confidential, and judgment free space where pastors and ministry leaders can process burnout, navigate complex relationships, and tend to their own emotional and spiritual well-being. You don’t have to choose between caring for others and caring for yourself. Both matter. And you deserve support, too.
