Meet Amanda
Amanda is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student completing her practicum training. She approaches counseling from an integrative, trauma-informed perspective, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and nervous system regulation. She is especially interested in mind–body connections, including how the brain, gut, and emotional experiences interact, and she incorporates this understanding to support whole-person healing.
Amanda works with individuals navigating stress, burnout, trauma, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in supporting women, children, and adolescents, as well as parents who may be experiencing relationship challenges or emotional overwhelm. She is also passionate about helping children and teens process the emotional impact of divorce and other family changes.
Amanda strives to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. She values building a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen and supported as they explore their experiences, deepen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful growth and resilience.
Women
Feeling anxious? Navigating transitions, identity changes, or relationship challenges? Melanie provides trauma-informed, integrative counseling tailored to the unique experiences women face. She offers a compassionate space to explore your story, build confidence, and move toward a healthier, more empowered life.
Children
Noticing big feelings, behavior changes, or difficulty expressing emotions in your child? Since play is a child’s natural language, Melanie uses play-based therapy with trauma-focused CBT and DBT, all adapted to their age and development. She provides a warm space where children can explore emotions and build skills, while supporting parents with tools to nurture ongoing emotional well-being.
Teens
Is your teen moody, withdrawn, or struggling with stress, friendships, or school? Melanie creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where teens can express themselves, learn coping skills, and feel understood. She supports teens and their families in building stronger communication and resilience during this important season of growth.
